Time I left home:
Happy Halloween! I was driving on the beltway and around exit 18, a car hit a deer and it flew through the air and crossed all four lanes of traffic and the construction! It was the strangest thing to see at 8:15 this morning.
Time I got to work:
I haven't done a breakfast shot in a while so I thought it would be appropriate to do one this morning. Two eggs, over medium. The banana I'm going to eat later.

Day Fifty-Three
Time I left home:
It was a beautiful commute today. Not too much trouble on my side of the beltway and I was able to enjoy myself a bit. I didn't account for the defrosting of my car, so I didn't actually leave my driveway until 8:11 or so...

Day Fifty-Two
Time I left home:
Writing this blog has made me so uber aware of the weather...it's a little bit of a flashback to when I was in undergrad and my floor would sit around and watch the weather station all the time. When you have to walk everywhere, you become in sync with the weather and need to know how to protect yourself. I feel like I'm doing the same thing now, except I'm stuck in a car in the weather wondering when the madness is going to end. I think as long as I'm in MD working the beltway, it will never end.

Day Fifty-One
Time I arrived at work:
I'm shaking it up a bit. ha ha ha. I have later work hours this week, so I am adjusting my leave time and traffic was glorious today! Only accidents on streets that I do not have to drive on and people were being very nice as they navigated their routes to work. Good times.

Day FIFTY!
50 days of commuting and taking pictures and comments. Huzzah!
Time I left home:
While the commute wasn't too bad this morning, I still got to campus just in the nick of time to get coffee before my 9 a.m. meeting, so I forgot to take a picture of the clock. Oh well. It was a bit annoying that we all had to look at the police officer with the two-car accident. Although, I was sooo glad I wasn't taking 70 east to the beltway today because the accident on the entrance ramp looked scary and horrible. Make it a good day.

Day Forty-Nine
Lovely, lovely drive. I was out of town this weekend and coming back to this wonderful was great. I felt like I got in my car and the next thing I knew, I was at work. Crazy.
Time I got to work:

Day Forty-Eight
Time I left home:
Despite being overly exhausted from getting only 4 1/2 hours sleep the night before (don't worry all...it was for wonderful reasons), I was geared up for my drive today. It was lovely...people were moving around the beltway with ease and only stopped a few annoying times.
Time I arrived at work:
A glimpse into my recent breakfast of choice: two eggs and water in my starbucks ice cup. Nice.

Day Forty-Seven
Time I left home:
A rainy day and surprisingly, not a bad commute. It could have been A LOT worse (and it has been in the past). Luckily, my meetings start later today, so I was not feeling the pressure of getting to work at a particular time. I just planted all these bulbs on Sunday, so I'm glad the rain is coming down...hoping that means I'll get nice flowers next year.

Day Forty-Six
Time I left home:
What a nice commuting day today. Traffic moved fairly well and I got to spy on some people in their cars doing interesting things, like leaning down into the passenger seat trying to pick something up, which caused all of us in the left lane aka the FAST lane to slow down below the speed limit. That was great. Once all 7 of us got around the car, we were able to zoom around the beltway without a care.
Time I arrived at work: 8:50 a.m. just in time for my first meeting of the day.

Day Forty-Five
Time I left home:
This was a pretty uneventful commute. I talked to a co-worker when I got to the parking lot and forgot to take the picture. I tried this interesting health shake for breakfast this morning and it was gross! I wish I had taken a picture of it now, because it was a pretty color, just chunky and thick. That's probably the most interesting part of my morning.

Time I left home:
Despite the weird rain and fog, traffic was amazing today! I got a little bored with the radio so I switched around different stations. That never happens...

Day Forty-Three
Time I left home:
Ridiculous commute this morning. The rain was on and off, heavy and light, then accidents all over the place. I thought it was smart leaving my house a bit later because it would allow me to speed through the beltway with ease. Boy, was I wrong.
I got to the Towson 14 miles away marker at this time:
Dumb. Then around exit 19 or so I realized that it was going to be even worse and I think it started to hail. I texted my co-worker (I know...bad form) and let her know where I was. She thought it sucked too.
Luckily, I made it to campus before my 10 a.m. meeting, only to have a student come earlier than expected and one email me later to say she wasn't coming. What a day.
Time I arrived at work:
I also realized today that my car clock is about 2 minutes slower than every other clock in the world. oh well...

Day Forty-Two
Time I left home:
I spent the past three days on a work trip analyzing aspects of another institution and returned to campus last night to do training and information sessions for students. At 1 p.m. I was an hour outside of Pittsburgh and by 5 p.m. that day, I was back in Baltimore working with my students. Tis the crazy life of a college administrator.
So, I decided to try to sleep in a little bit, but my cat wouldn't let me. She was so happy I was back that she wanted me to pet her the whole night. Needless to say, my commute this morning was like getting back in the saddle and now I'm off to a day full of meetings.

It's Bikram yoga day...so I got to campus around 9 and left for the yoga. It's my new love-hate relationship.

Day Forty
Time I left home:
The traffic pattern changing and construction get people every time. Although the radio played the fun morning bell song for people to "get out of my way, get out of my way, get out of my WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY". Lovely.

Time I left home:
Thought I would sleep in a leave my house a little later because I'm staying at work pretty late tonight...didn't quite work out the way I planned. Many construction changes and accidents this morning...caused everyone to freak out a little bit. Ahh, driving in MD.

Day Thirty-Seven
I had the day off on Friday, however, still commuted up to work because I've started Bikram Yoga on Fridays and it is closer to work than my house. So, the time I left home Friday was:
Time I arrived at work for the yoga:
The first work day of October! It's the 3rd and I was running quite late this morning. It was a great long weekend and while I enjoyed my myself greatly, I forgot that I really like to sleep...so, I left my house today at:
The beltway was glorious and I feel like I was driving especially well today. My breakfast sandwich and orange juice helped me out to make the ride pleasant.
