Time I left home:
Another day, another commute...Although, this commute is going to be my last of the week as I'm heading out for a flying commute to attend a wedding. Good times. My breakfast sandwich was delightful and so were most of the people around me. It's nice that the majority of the construction is almost done...I feel like it was never-ending this year.

Day 187
Time I left home:
Once again, a pretty long academic year commute. It's just gonna be this way, isn't it? I got some really great rolls from Wegman's last night, so I used one to make a breakfast sandwich this morning. It was amazing. I really missed eating those.

Time I left home:
Typical Monday commute, which surprised me since it is the summer and people are supposed to be at the beach. I guess everyone returned early after having gone for 4th of July. Most of the commute wasn't too bad...

Day 185
Time I left home:
A regular commuting day for me. I thought it was going to take some serious time to get to work based on the report on the radio. However, it did not. Most people were driving very nicely and while we all had places to be, we were not being mean today. Maybe it's because there was a report out that most people think other people have road rage and not themselves. I definitely get road rage. I can't lie about that. Today, I did not have it; most days, I do. I enjoyed two eggs and coffee on my drive.

Day 184
Time I left home:
It's 4th of July week, so everything is going extremely well on the beltway. A bunch of construction happening, people still without electricity, and a variety of people on vacation. It's great!

Day 183
Time I left home:
Another commuting summer Monday, which means traffic is nice since most people are still at the beach from over the weekend...plus, it's the week of July 4, which also means that many people are going to be taking these days off. I am hoping that this means I'll have a very nice commute. Today, it was about 39 minutes...I think it would have been faster if Ihadn't gotten caught at the light at the end of my street. Coffee and oatmeal enjoyed on the road.

Time I left home:
A pretty typical commute today. I enjoyed coffee and a peanut granola bar on the drive while weaving in and out of the cars that weren't going quite the speed I wanted them to go today. It was sort of like a video game and I enjoyed it.

Day 181
Time I left home:
I definitely left really late today...while I don't feel like I'm on west coast time, I am noticing that my nights are lasting a bit longer than they should because of being up so late while I was in CA. I thought traffic would be great leaving this late and for some reason I hit all the red lights and was behind loads of cars. Finally, I went into the left lane and realized that I was going so slow because I was in a lane with 5 semis. I love the semi drivers, but really, why that slow?! Needless to say, once I went past them, the drive was amazing.

Day 180
Time I left home:
Wow...that's hard to read. I didn't realize the sun was right in the picture sight. It says 8:26 a.m. for those of you who care about details. I just got back from the west coast so waking up at a time like I did today was a bit hard. Yes, I was waking up at 6 a.m. west coast time, but then I got to go back to sleep, which was nice.
The radio told me about this horrible accident on my commute, right where I usually get on the beltway. For a minute, I was going to bail and go a different route and decided, eh, what the hay. So, I went for it. I'm glad I did. The accident was gone and everything was fine.

Day 179
Summer...the time when things are supposed to be easy, right? WRONG! As you saw from my last post...it's been busy. It just keeps going. I'm so behind in posting all my coming and goings...I'll recap for you this week. Tomorrow I go on a quick vacation and then I'll be back.
I took Monday off (a vacation day!) and on Tuesday, I left my house at:
Arriving to work at:
A glorious commuting day indeed.
Wednesday, I left my house at:
Arrived at work:
You'd think, based on the time, that nothing really interesting happened. Wrong. People were a little nutty both of these days. However, because it's Maryland and everyone takes a break...life is grand.
Today, I left home at:
Today's commute was a bit more normal, although I felt like it wasn't really that bad. I'm feeling pretty good about the mornings and how things are going. It may be because my air conditioner is broken and I've been enjoying the air in my car...hmmm...that could be it.

A week's commute-funky style
So, it's been a while and yet, I've still been commuting. To give you an idea of my life...here are the pictures I've been able to remember to take this past week:
That was Monday morning when I was heading to campus to begin prepping for Summer Orientation...I ended up spending the night at a friend's house, so the next morning, I didn't have to leave until 5:20 a.m. because she lives so close to campus as well as the bagel place where I pick up breakfast.
This is Wednesday morning:
I actually thought I was making strides by eating this delicious breakfast...I was so tired, I couldn't event eat it all.
Got to work on Wednesday at this time:
This was Thursday....I can't even remember if this was my arrival time or leaving time anymore. See my fancy flip flop in the bottom left hand corner?
This is today, Friday, June 15. I am still pretty exhausted, but my first meeting wasn't until 9:30 a.m. and I made it through traffic and starbucks all by 9 a.m. Amazing indeed. Make it a good weekend! I hope to be back to a bit of a normal schedule next week.

Day 178
Yesterday, I left home at:
It's a super busy week at work, so I haven't had time to keep up with posting every day...I'll try my best. It was a usual commute to work...nothing too exciting that I can remember, except being very tired.
Time I got to work:
Today, I arrived at work:
I decided to meet one of my students at the pool this morning before everything got started...that meant a very early morning for me and amazingly, I didn't have to get up before the sun. That blows my mind.

Day 177
Time I left home:
This is the start of a very hectic week and a half. My hours in the morning are going to change a bit and definitely my hours at night (although I usually don't post it)...it's Orientation season!
I was out of town last weekend, so I am trying to use up all the food in my house before it goes bad...I'm not doing a good job of that. Need to work harder on that. Oh well. Oatmeal and coffee for the commute and now on to a day of last minute coordination fun.

Day 175
It's the start of the whirlwind summer, which means that I may not have much time to blog about my daily commute. I know, right? Seems odd during the summer to have that issue...tis the nature of working in orientation.
Yesterday, I left at:
The commute wasn't so bad...it was a bit busy, but with the holiday having been the day before, people weren't really back. Made life a bit easier and I got to be in the office a bit before my full day began.
Yesterday, I got to work at:
Today, I left home at:
The air conditioning is still not working in my house, so I made some phone calls this morning in order to get it up and running again. Luckily, it rained last night, so my house was in the 80s, but still...it can be hard to sleep. I had honey nut cheerios and milk both days.

Commute felt really good this morning. I went the long way because I had heard traffic was somewhat bad on the drive; turns out it really wasn't. That's what is nice about a holiday weekend :>

All day meeting today, so I'm really late in posting this. Commute was good, nothing too exciting to write about. Plus, it feels like it was so long ago that I cannot remember the details. Good times.

Time I left home:
The commute wasn't so bad this morning, although for the time I left home, I think it took a little bit longer than I would have liked. What can you do? It was a dark morning, hard to get out of bed, and my cat wanted to cuddle with me. How could I turn that down? Yep, bad professional today.
I made oatmeal for the road and drove along. Everyone was fairly pleasant despite the rain that could have happened at any moment...

Time I left home:
It was a strange commute today because the weather was a bit off and not quite what I was expecting...needless to say, it was a nice commute, even though it was gray and a little sad outside. I made the last of the yogurt, granola, banana mixture and it was much more delicious today. Perhaps that is the theme for this Tuesday...
