Day 137

Time I left home:

It's a super foggy day!  The big red sign over the beltway came on while we were driving to work and everyone braked so they could read that it said "fog warning...stay alert"  Awesome.  Then there was an accident, so of course everyone had to take their time driving by so they could count the cars involved (3), watch the guy pacing back and forth on his cell phone, and gawk with their mouth wide open.  It was great.  I enjoyed another cereal and yogurt mixture on the drive with coffee and made it to work without too much trouble.

I'm heading to a conference for work tomorrow, so I will be taking another break from the commuting details.  I wish you a great week!

Day 136

Time I left home:

When I took this picture this morning, I thought "Wow, that's a great, clear shot."  It doesn't really look that clear now...hm.  The commute was fairly smooth...some stopping for no apparent reason because there are big signs that say the traffic pattern is changing on 3/28...just as a reminder, it's not 3/28 today.  I enjoyed some raisin bran in fat free vanilla yogurt this morning and some coffee on the drive.  Yep, I was running a bit late.  Too much laundry to do.

Time I got to work:

Day 135

Time I left home:

Just another foggy, rainy commute in Baltimore.  I really miss the winter...I know, don't get mad.  It's just nice to have a time in the year when things are calm and covered with snow and you are forced to take it easy...didn't really feel like we had that this year, unfortunately.  The darkness made me sleep more today, so I really didn't follow the schedule I had planned for myself...oh well.  Raisin bran and milk, coffee, and a banana for breakfast.  Water on the drive...

Time I got to work:

Day 134

Time I left home:

It's been an interesting morning.  I woke up to my cat hairballing (I know...gross), which helped me get more awake in order to work out (which is what I wanted to do this morning anyway).  It allowed me to have a little extra time to eat breakfast at home (raisin bran with milk) and then follow that with the drive to work and some coffee.  The commute, despite the fog and impending thunderstorms, was delightful.  All the traffic and problems seemed to have taken care of themselves before I got on the road.  Everyone must be excited because Ohio is in the Sweet 16...

Time I got to work:

Thursday, March 15, 2012

Day 133

Time I left home:
I've returned to the East Coast after spending a week on the West.  Man, my time is totally off.  I was supposed to head to Bikram this morning and found that the thought of getting up at 4 a.m. west coast time was not working...so, I skipped it to sleep a bit and then head to work earlier than planned.  It's tough being on vacation ;>

I enjoyed a half breakfast sandwich of egg, muenster cheese, and wheat bread on my drive to work and some coffee.  Yum.

Time I arrive at work:

Tuesday, March 6, 2012

Day 132

Time I left home:

This will be my last post for a little while...I'm heading on a plane for a vacation to the other side of the country tomorrow and do not plan to blog my commute...so this will have to last you a little while.  I've started this new activity on my commute: Spoken Word Poetry from Songs on the Radio.  Yes, it's that exciting that it needs capital letters. :>  It's quite fun and makes the drive go much faster.  It began with my drive home at night and now it's moved into my morning commute.  My favorites are: "Under the Bridge" and "Sexy Chick".

I had a peanut granola bar and coffee for breakfast.

Time I got to work:

Day 131

Time I left home:

It was a nice commute today.  I was worried, with the lateness of my leaving and the clouds in the sky that it might not be so nice...I was wrong.  People moved calmly and smoothly along the roads and we barely stopped near exit 22 and the 83s.  It was amazing.  I had raisin bran at home and coffee on the road.

Time I arrived at work:

Day 130

Time I left home:

It was a really nice commute this morning...the sun was out and while cold, people were moving along the beltway delightfully.  I enjoyed a breakfast egg and cheese sandwich on the drive in preparation for Bikram.  I should have drank more water though...kicked my butt this morning.

Time I got to work:

Thursday, March 1, 2012

Day 129

Time I left home:

Happy March!  It's one month before my birthday...woo hoo.  Let the celebrations begin!  The day is beautiful...somewhat of a chill in the air, but the spring chill, so that makes things a bit nicer.  I'm glad it's sunny.  People seemed to be driving in a happy mood today too and while we did get stuck in traffic (stopped completely) up by the 83s...things were okay.  I, once again, at raisin bran at home and took my coffee on the road.  Left the banana in the kitchen by mistake.  Oh well.  Enjoy the sunshine!
